The senior housing programs provide housing to senior couples and
individuals and, in some cases, to non-elderly, handicapped couples
and individuals. The Housing Authority owns or manages several senior-housing
complexes in the Tulare County area. The character of the complexes
and the qualifications for admission vary for each site. All of
these senior housing complexes allow certain pets with an additional
security deposit. Rents for all senior complexes include water,
garbage, sewer, a stove and a refrigerator. Seniors may also apply
for housing under the conventional public housing program.

varies in length.
Cypress Cove - Tulare
Cypress Cove, in Tulare on Cypress and Laspina, consists of 52
one-bedroom duplexes. Open to applicants with low to moderate incomes,
Cypress Cove offers two affordable, fixed-rent levels based upon
income and availability. The entire complex is enclosed with a security
gate, and each unit has its own alarm system. Residents appreciate
the nearby city bus stop, and enjoy making use of an on-site community
building with kitchen facilities.

Located in Kingsburg, the Linmar Apartments welcome very low, low
and moderate-income seniors. The rent for these one-bedroom apartments
is based upon income. The 48 units at Linmar Apartments are grouped
into four-plexes. This park-like setting also features a community
room with adjacent laundry facilities.

Santa Fe Plaza - Porterville
The Santa Fe Plaza complex in downtown Porterville is centrally
located for convenience. Only very low-income applicants are eligible,
and rents are based upon income. All utilities are included in the
rent at Santa Fe Plaza.
Santa Fe Plaza is made up of 105 one-bedroom apartments built around
a delightfully landscaped central courtyard. The complex has a security
entrance and an alarm system in each unit. You'll also benefit from
the on-site laundry facilities and nearby shopping and other services,
including the Social Security office and a senior citizens' center.
In addition, residents have formed a club, which organizes various
activities throughout the year.
